📋 What data is collected in the mobile app and why?
- Account & Profile: Name, public username, email address, and phone number (verified securely via OTP code).
- 📍 City & Location: Used solely to show relevant fashion items nearby (Douala, Yaoundé, Bafoussam...) without continuous background tracking.
- Camera & Photo Gallery: Required only when you explicitly choose to photograph or list a fashion item. The app never accesses private albums in the background.
- In-App Chat Messages: Conversations are encrypted and stored securely to ensure community safety and prevent scams.
🔐 Technical and Financial Data Safeguards
Password Cryptographic Hashing
All passwords are irreversibly hashed using advanced cryptography. No one, including iDieze administrators, can access your raw password.
Zero Storage of Mobile Money PINs
iDieze never stores or asks for your Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money secret PIN. Transactions run via certified secure gateways.
Your In-App Data Rights & Account Deletion
- Access & Update: Modify your profile details, city, or phone number anytime under Profile > Edit Profile.
- 🗑️ Right to Erasure (Account Deletion): You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app settings or by contacting our support team.
- Notification Preferences: Manage push notifications and communication choices directly in app settings.
